Day 1:
Arrive Cairo Welcome to Egypt- the gift of the Nile as
described by Herodotus. Upon arrival at Cairo International
Airport, you will be met and assisted by a Memphis Tours
representative who will help you through passport control,
baggage claim and all customs formalities. You will then be
transferred to your hotel by a private air-conditioned
vehicle for check-in. Overnight in Cairo.
Day 2:
Pyramids of Giza & Egyptian Museum After breakfast, enjoy an
excursion to the Pyramids of Giza, home of Cheops, Chefren
and Mykerinus. Then proceed to visit the Great Sphinx, the
head of a pharaoh with a lion's body, dates from the time of
Chephren. The tour also includes a visit to the Valley
Temple which belongs to the Pyramids of Chephren. After that
visit the Egyptian Museum where you can see great pharaonic
treasures including those of Tutankhamun. Overnight in
Cairo.
Day 3:
Fly to Luxor / Nile Cruise Transfer from Cairo International
Airport to Luxor where you will be met and assisted by a
Memphis Tours representative and taken to your five star
deluxe cruise ship via air-conditioned vechile. After lunch
on board, visit the Karnak Temple, the greatest example of
worship in history, dedicated to the god Amon, his wife Mut
and their son Khonsu. Karnak temple was constructed from the
beginning of the Middle Kingdom to the Graeco Roman period.
After Karnak,visit Luxor Temple, started by Amunhotep III in
the 18th Dynasty and completed by Ramses II during the 19th
Dynasty. Return to the ship for dinner. Overnight on board.
Day 4:
Luxor / Edfu Enjoy an early morning excursion to Valley of
the Kings and see the grandeur of architecture that was used
for burial. From Valley of Kings,move to El Deir El Bahari
Temple, built by Queen Hatshepsut, daughter of Thutmosis I,
who ruled Egypt for approxmiately 20 years during the 18th
Dynasty. Finally, visit the Colossi of Memnon befor
returning to the ship for lunch. Relax and enjoy an
afternoon sail toEdfu followed by a leisurely dinner on
board. Overnight on boat.
Day 5:
Kom Ombo / Aswan In Edfu, visit Ptolemic Temple dedicated to
Horus. It was built during the reign of Ptolemy VIII to
Ptolemy XII and is considered the best preserved temple in
Egypt. Return to the Ship and continue sailing to Kom Ombo.
Upon arrival you will see the Temple of Sobek, built in
honor of two deities:Sobek, the crocodile-headed god of
fertility and creator of the world, and Haroeris also known
as the falcon-headed god , Horus. return to the ship for
lunch and continue sailing to Aswan. Dinner and overnight on
board.
Day 6:
Aswan Sightseeing Enjoy a day of sightseeing in Aswan. Start
with the High Dam and the Unfinished Obelisk which is
considered the largest piece of stone ever made; this
obelisk most likely belongs Queen Hatshepsut. Continue on to
the beautiful Temple of Philae, which is devoted to the
goddesses Isis and Hathor. Sail to Elephantine Island via
local felucca boat. The island is named Elephantine either
because it was a major ivory trading center or because
Egyptians first saw the Elephant in this area. Dinner and
overnight on board.
Day 7:
Fly to Cairo Transfer to Aswan Airport and fly to Cairo
International Airport, where you'll be met and assisted then
driven to your hotel. Overnight in Cairo.
Day 8:
Departure After breakfast, transfer to Cairo International
Airport for final departure.

Notes :Prices are quoted in Euro and based on a double
occupancy. Also, prices are valid till 30/04/2009 except
during Christmas, New Year’s Eve & Easter Feasts. Moreover;
rates could be changed without prior notice, shall the
government increase taxes.
You must have a valid passport to enter Egypt. (You must
have at least 6 months of validity beyond your scheduled
return date.)
Single supplement is applied for those coming alone. You can
issue your domestic flight with your international one to
get it cheaper. Incase you could not, we can handle it so do
not worry at all. Alternatively, your accommodation in Cairo
can be at 4 or 5 star hotels according to your request.
Also, we can arrange this program by sleeper train or first
class seating train.
